Party Catering in Ottawa

Your party table, already having its best night.

OH! is party catering in Ottawa for hosts who want the food finished before the doorbell goes: one styled share table, planned around your guest count, delivered and composed on site while you get dressed. This page is the hub for every social occasion we cater — birthdays, showers, anniversaries, graduations, retirements, housewarmings, reunions and evenings in the back garden — all running on the same format at roughly 12 to 50 guests.

The OH! approach

A beautiful party table,
ready when your guests arrive.

01

A centrepiece people can eat

The table is planned as one composition: height at the back, colour grouped into runs, negative space so the eye can rest, and serving pieces chosen so the food stays reachable from both sides. Guests work out where to start without being told, and the display holds its looks after the first thirty people have been through it, because the replenishment is designed into the layout before anything is loaded into the van.

02

The arc of an evening party

A house party has a rhythm worth planning against. Guests arrive across the first forty minutes and eat hardest in that window. The middle two hours are conversation with steady picking. Then there is a late surge around the cake or the toast, and a final one when people who skipped dinner realise it. We build the table to finish before your first guest, hold back a second wave for the surge, and box whatever survives before we leave.

03

Adult birthdays

The most common shape we quote: a Saturday evening, twenty to forty people, food that has to stay available and appealing for four hours while nobody sits down. We anchor with two or three substantial savoury items so the evening can absorb guests who came straight from work, then layer the grazing elements around them.

  • Two or three substantial savoury anchors, held up across the whole evening
  • Dessert styled around a cake you have ordered elsewhere
  • Late arrivals still find a table that reads as intact
  • Milestone birthdays can carry a colour story pulled from your décor
04

Showers and daytime celebrations

Baby showers, bridal showers and engagement parties run two to three hours in daylight with a programme in the middle, so portions stay small and one-handed and the sweet moment gets its own surface. Those tables want brightness and a lighter savoury load. The full daytime detail, including quantities and hold times, sits on our brunch catering page.

05

Anniversaries, graduations, retirements and housewarmings

These four share one planning problem: mixed generations arriving across a wide window, with no single moment everybody is present for. A share table solves it, because there is no service announcement to miss. We build for a steady three-hour flow, keep the familiar items generous enough that a grandparent and a teenager both find something obvious, and place one signature piece that gives the occasion a focus for photographs.

  • Mixed-age menus with recognisable anchors alongside the interesting items
  • Open-house arrival windows of two hours or more
  • One signature feature tied to the occasion
  • Clear dietary labelling across the whole surface
06

What a house party needs from the host

In a home the surface is usually a dining table, a kitchen island or a rented six-foot trestle. We ask for its length and depth in advance and compose to it, then work out where the queue will form and which side stays clear for the kitchen door. Beyond that the list is short.

  • The table surface, measured, and a decision on where it stands
  • A clear carrying route from the door, and somewhere to park during the build
  • Guest plates, napkins and cutlery, settled at quote stage
  • A bin within reach of the table, which is what keeps the surface looking new
  • Fridge space for a second wave where the evening runs long
07

Dessert, and the cake you ordered elsewhere

Most parties have a cake from a bakery or a family kitchen, and the sweet table is designed to frame it. Send the height, diameter, colour and delivery window and the surrounding display is built around it. Cutting and plating the cake stays with you or the venue unless it is quoted. Our dessert table page carries the quantities and what holds in an Ottawa summer.

08

Outdoor dates

A party in the garden changes enough to have its own page: shade and cold-hold, the Ottawa season window, wind, and a rain fallback agreed weeks out. Backyard, garden and summer parties are planned on our backyard party catering page.

09

What the quote covers

Styled tables start at $42 per guest, plus applicable taxes, and the working range runs $42–$65 per guest, with the top of it being tables that replace a meal. Your quote is built from four things: guest count, table format, how long the event runs and the setup the room needs, and it separates food, styling and delivery so each part of the number is visible. The event minimum is $600 before delivery and taxes. Delivery and on-site styling are $45 within 25 km. Past that, the charge is quoted for your address before you book. We serve the City of Ottawa, Ontario. Kanata, Stittsville, Nepean, Barrhaven, Westboro, the central neighbourhoods, Orléans, Manotick and Riverside South sit inside the standard delivery area, where delivery and on-site styling are $45. Past 25 km the delivery charge is quoted for your address and appears on the quote before you book.

10

Dietary labelling at a party

A private party is where guests are least likely to ask out loud, so the cards do the asking for them. Share dietary preferences and allergy information when you enquire. We plan suitable choices and label the table clearly. For severe or life-threatening allergies we talk through cross-contact before you book, and we cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation on a shared table.

11

What you can see before you book

OH! is new in Ottawa, so there are no reviews to point you at and no gallery of our own parties yet; the imagery here is generated for the brand and shows the style of table we build. What you can have in advance is a written menu for your date, a quote that separates food, styling and delivery, and the terms in writing. Call +1 613 710-0554 and you will get straight answers to all of it. We answer every enquiry within one business day, and the reply names the next step and the date being held while we talk.

Questions, answered

Before you
say OH!

How far in advance should I book catering in Ottawa?

Two to four weeks is a comfortable planning window for a styled table. December dates, long-weekend Saturdays and shower season fill earliest, and short-notice weekday events are always worth asking about.

How do you handle allergies and dietary requirements?

Share dietary preferences and allergy information when you enquire. We plan suitable choices and label the table clearly. For severe or life-threatening allergies we talk through cross-contact before you book, and we cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation on a shared table.

What does a styled table cost?

Styled tables start at $42 per guest, plus applicable taxes, and the working range runs $42–$65 per guest, with the top of it being tables that replace a meal. Your quote is built from four things: guest count, table format, how long the event runs and the setup the room needs, and it separates food, styling and delivery so each part of the number is visible. The event minimum is $600 before delivery and taxes. Delivery and on-site styling are $45 within 25 km. Past that, the charge is quoted for your address before you book.

What are the deposit, cancellation and final-count terms?

A 30% deposit and a signed quote hold your date, and the balance is due 3 days before the event. Move or cancel more than 14 days out and the deposit is refunded; inside that window it covers the sourcing already committed. Final guest count is due 7 days before the event. After that the shopping list is set: numbers can still rise, and the count stops coming down. Every figure is quoted plus applicable taxes.

Where do you deliver?

We serve the City of Ottawa, Ontario. Kanata, Stittsville, Nepean, Barrhaven, Westboro, the central neighbourhoods, Orléans, Manotick and Riverside South sit inside the standard delivery area, where delivery and on-site styling are $45. Past 25 km the delivery charge is quoted for your address and appears on the quote before you book.

How do I reach you?

Call +1 613 710-0554 with your date, guest count and neighbourhood, or send the same details through the enquiry form. We answer every enquiry within one business day, and the reply names the next step and the date being held while we talk.

What happens after I enquire?

We answer every enquiry within one business day, and the reply names the next step and the date being held while we talk. You send the date, guest count, neighbourhood and a sentence about the room. We reply with a starting format and the two or three questions that move the quote. You get one written quote separating food, styling, delivery and travel, with terms attached. A signed quote and deposit hold the date, then the menu is finalised around season and dietary needs. We arrive ahead of guests, build the table in the room and take the serving pieces away afterwards.

What size parties are a good fit?

The format is built for roughly 12 to 50 guests. Above fifty we plan a custom setup around the venue and confirm what we can do before you book.

Do we need to supply the table?

The host or venue normally provides the surface — a dining table, an island, a counter or a rented trestle. Send us the length and depth and we compose to it. Serving pieces, risers and linens come with us.
